I am considering getting a hood from Unlimited Products and I am wondering if anyone has purchased a hood from them recently and how was the quality and fitment.
How well was it crated and what were your shipping charges.
I had a bad experience with the quality of a scoop and their customer service over 20 years ago and I am hoping things are better now.

Their hoods are lightweight race hoods not show car stuff.

That being said I have had their cowl hood on 2 of my Malibu's for almost 20 years

My bolt on cowl is from them. For the money, the quality could've been better. The packaging wasn't horrible, but also could've been packed with more protection in mind to travel across the country, the shipping price was fair.
Mine required alot of bodywork to get paint ready.... I'm still not satisfied but I'm a bit picky!!!!
Honestly, I won't buy from them again and would rather spend more on a glasstek or VFN.

I bought a hood and scoop from Unlimited about 12 years ago. Both were ok shipped to Pgh. Needed no body work till I put them together. It was a well built bolt on hood for a non G body.

Not sure about unlimited , but i have bought from ,[ cervini ] 08 gt ,[ Ecklers ] L88 hood c-3 , those were both excellent bolt right on ! finish was very good on both ! . Friend of mine bought 2'' cowl [Harwood ] for 80 malibu fit and finish was ok [ steel ] , i have also purchased scoop,s from [ summit ]fiberglass there ok . Just a little info from things i have had experience with .

bought a sunoco cowl hood for a 2nd gen Camaro from them last year (like the one on SO's Monza's latest incarnation) ......it was a blem so wasn't expecting much......we split it in so many places to release tension and have it naturally lie on the car that in hindsight I think going elsewhere would have been a better deal.....yes, it was a blem, so it can't be compared to their front door sales, but when the sides of the hood sit over 6-inches higher than the fenders it made me wonder if it was the mold or workmanship? When we rectified the hood to sit down, gaps were very large so edges had to be built up.

I am considering a 6" Sunoco hood for the Monte which will have less obstruction of view compared to the the alternative 6" cowl, either hood will have to be a full bolt on so neither will go all the way to the windshield like a pin on.
Unlimited is the only one I have found that makes a 6" full bolt on cowl but I contacted Glasstek about both style hoods and they would have to be custom made but they will do it but at a price but I know the quality will be there.

I'd buy the scoop separate and graft it on myself if I did it again. The one I mentioned above is a pin-on and was very lightweight. It had heaps of overhang to trim off so the wipers would get past....
