I have a question guys does anyone make better front calipars. Didnt feel like spending 1500 bucks at this point for a kit right now. If there is a bolt on calipars i found the rotors on gbodyparts.com but did see anything that was a replacement calipar ( better then stock). just stock stuff that was painted. Im planning on calling then just haven't had time yet.

This company offers direct replacement upgrade calipers. http://www.ssbrakes.com/

Another option is to go with the S-10 Extreme set-up which requires using the spindles and complete rotor and caliper assemblies.

Those kits look sweet, pricey but it comes with the drop spindles. Does anyone have experience with these kits that can confirm a minimum 17" rim??? Wilwood has direct bolts but require some painful mods to stock spindle.

I would like to do the S10 upgrade but thinking of keeping it all SS upgrades cause if I start interchanging parts ill forget what I did lol

I agree, the kits are rather pricey. They used to offer the calipers individually (a pair) with either the 2-piston or 4-piston calipers.
I guess that's the reason why guys consider the S-10 set-up. Good bang for the buck.

I have the SSBC dual piston calipers, brand new stock-type rotors (don't get drilled crap), new bearings, and master cylinder and my brakes rock!

I just got the new PST (Performance Suspension Technology) catalog! You should check out their NEW system for installing Corvette calipers and rotors on stock spindles. The kit includes 2 forged aluminum hubs, 2 billet aluminum caliper brackets, 2 brake hoses, bearings and oil seals, heavy duty screw-in wheel studs (1/2-20), harware kit, and instructions.
They say this one kit will allow you to use stock Corvette C5 or C6 calipers with the standard 12.8" rotors or the 13.4" Z51 package rotors. They also say that this kit will except the Z06 six piston monobloc calipers and the 14.0 Z06 rotors.
They claim that this one kit will except all three brake systems. You can start out with the 12.8" and upgrade later all the way to 14.0"
They say the 1978-88 G-body kit sells for $399.00,,,,,,,,BUT,,,,,,,,the kit is not compatible with cast spindles w/integral caliper mounts (Idon't know if stock spindles can be modified).

Just thought this system would be one more system to look at! They also have another system where you can up grade your factory disc brakes to their twin piston aluminum calipers and/or their slotted rotors, that will fit behind a 15" wheel.
Check them out if you think it might be worth looking into.
They,re selling kits from 1964 A-body Buicks to 1988 Pontiac G-bodies.

Well guys i did find the SSBC brake kit not sure how i missed that. (A181) I like it that what i was looking for. I have to call them and see if they will work with the 14 inch rims (stock) I have on the front of the car the back has 15s it has a nice rake to it that i don't want to change.

I just got the new catalog also. I think that setup would be nice, but you need aftermarket spindles? I was thinking of drop spindles anyways since I stripped out my caliper bolt threads on one of my stock spindles. I wish I would've seen that before I went and got new stock calipers and hoses.
