Update on the 78

So I've scrapped the 231 motor. Finding aftermarket parts for it was nearly impossible. A local junkyard has a complete 01 4.8l vortec that seems to be the engine I'll drop into her. Still going to search some other junkyards but an LS is most likely what I'll decide on. For now I'll continue to strip and get her ready for sand blasting. Stay tuned for more in the future

I can imagine there is even less parts available for a 3.8 chevy V6 then the Buick version. Get the trans as well, stay EFI and upgrade your gearing/rear end. It will be a whole new driving experience, the 4.8 is known as a screamer.
