follow the above advise from airboatgreg, he's on the right track. the vacuum ball you have pictured is a vacuum reservoir used for your climate control and/or your cruise control. it has nothing to do with your power brake concern.

Thanks. Where do I position the check valve?A round one will work or go to Ford and they make a vacuum check valve though you could have an issue of HVC changing modes on a long hill
