I was not sure I was going to like them at first but after having them on the car for a number of years I am glad I installed them. Lowering the windows a bit in the rain keeps the interior dry. Occasionally a spider will move in under one and claim the space as his own but that is the only negative point.

They are stainless steel and dark painted on the underside. Most people never notice them. In fact they barely show up in most of my photos of the car. In this older photo featured on an internet blog, they show up the best.

I guess I have never really considered them because I have never owned a Gbody with a framed window and I definitely wouldn't want stick on plastic ones, any time I see those on a car they are broken.

I looked back into mails saved from an old computer and found the seller. I ordered ventshades for a 4 door Malibu as they did not list any for a Buick Century. Got them and they fit ! I have had them longer than I thought - bought them in 2007. They sill have 1978 Chevrolet Malibu listed for the stainless steel ventshades.
