I know that this is definitely illegal in GA, and probably the rest of the country. VIN swapping is a huge problem in my hometown, as it's ranked the #1 place for auto thefts in the state. I wish someone would attempt to use the vin from my old Cutlass that was stolen in '05. Long story short, you get caught, you're going to prison!

the only way to do it legally is to get a diesel gbody and swap everything fro the non-diesel over to the diesel one. its sounds like a PITA, but if ya really wanna get away with not running smog stuff you should do it that way.
