Vinyl be Gone

I have an 81 cutlass and I want to remove the vinyl top for paint.
when i removed the vinyl i noticed the trim pieces on the back window are made of plastic. does anyone know where i can find those trim pieces in chrome like the rest of the car or am i going to have to do something custom.

Landau roof construction is totally different from metal tops. Converting is quite a chore. You might want to search the posts...alot has been written by the uninitiated.

are you talking about the ones that cover the gap in the rear window? if so, you will not use them any way, just go to a junk yard and pull the trim off a non vinyl top car, i think they are all the same between cars, but not 100 percent sure
