My Cutlass is almost finished, all I have left is the exhaust, transmission cooler lines, filter, gasket, and fluid, driveshaft, power steering pump, and a few small other things, so now I am starting to look at restoring the body. Now I know most people remove their vinyl tops and leave painted metal instead, but I actually like the vinyl top, so I want to restore it. Does anyone know anything about the process or has anyone done it? Is it a task I could do myself, or am I better off paying someone? I don't really know enough about it to know what else to ask...

Here's some new pics of the car

Yeah I personally would let a professional do it, but I can see myself getting it done if I had to. I'm like you, and I really like the vinyl top.

I had mine redone at a glass shop (I had to ask around). It cost me $400. Problem is that both times I had them do it, the ****ers scratched the rear glass from cutting the vinyl with a blade against the glass. You can probably get it done cheaper if you find the right shop.
