The original suggestion from billyjack for a theme for August was "diesel swaps" i.e. removing the questionable Olds diesels and replacing it with something else, but I think that's probably way too small a cross section... So, instead, I'll go for BOP/Cad Engine swaps. Or even anything that...

You're right, James.
I believe his name was Mike and has '78-'79 Monte Carlo with a Caddy engine, I think there was also a guy with a 500 cu in Caddy in a Malibu coupe. He used to be on frequently, but haven't seen him post in awhile. That might be the guy you're thinking of.

* I want to make a correction. The guy Mike that I was thinking of with the '78-'79 Monte Carlo, actually has an El Camino with a complete Monte Carlo nose on ii.

Yes, the 500 in the Malibu. 500/600 I think was his screen name. That would have been another good swap, to throw in the mix of entries this month.

It's always a tough vote with so many nice cars, and, even more importantly, LS FREE POWER!!!!!!

I also appreciate how many cars matched their powerplant marque to the car nameplate.

It was even harder this month because my favorite car didn't match my favorite engine. This being about the swap though, I voted for the engine.
