Im looking at buying an 84 Cutlass to have some fun with. It has a blown 307 in it now. Think a piston is broke, but not sure yet. I'm thinking a 403 swap sounds good, but i'm not very knowledgable with Olds engines[all my g-bodys are Grand Prixs, most of them SBC powered]. i am wondering what years and cars i could find a 403 in. How well do they respond to basic hopups like cam, headers, intake, and carbs? how well do they hold together? I dont want a fire breather, just something really fun. I dont have to worry about emissions either. No i will not put a SBC in it because that is one thing i need to change in my GP!

I know you can find them in Trans Ams, I think they also came in wagons and Delta 88's. Register on some specifically Olds forums and look for people selling them.

Some good forums are, realoldspower.com
oldspower.com
classicoldsmobile.com
