anybody selling a wire harness with pcm I'm looking to purchase asap and not looking to pay 700 from psi or brp if u selling I'm buying thanks

You could probably source on at a local wrecking yard or even online. Check out www.car-part.com and check ebay. Are you going carb? The reason I ask is because there are a few different injector connectors used over the years. Also, what generation is your motor? III or IV? You will need to match the PCM/harness to your motor depending on how many teeth are on your reluctor ring. IV is 58 tooth and III is 24 tooth.

Yes I'm going carb it's a gen3 engine 24 tooth the only issue I'm really having is I didn't do enough research before I bought the 4l60e now I'm stuck having to get get the harness and Pcm or a tcu to control the transmission I'm trying to find the cheapest route otherwise I might look to purchase a 700r4

There's a lot of Gen III pickups out there in the wrecking yards that were 5.3/4L60 equipped so it shouldn't be too hard to find but then you or someone else will need to strip the harness down to what you need and you will need a tune. Are you going to use the PCM for ignition?

Msd 6010 so maybe I should just get a transmission controller because I really won't have a use for the pcm other than for the transmission...I assume anyway

With a carb set up what else would I need people for besides transmission

That's what I was getting at. I haven't looked into those since the LS swap we did in my brother's car was a manual transmission. How pricey are those things and probably more importantly how programmable are they?

Controller run about 500-700 hundred what I'm reading they are fully programmable to control shifting rpm ect so I truly don't know what route to take been stuck on this a couple weeks now

But I'm assuming I can get s harness and Pcm tuned for cheaper

I think you'll be looking at the same money by the time you buy a harness and PCM, have the harness stripped down to just what you need and have the PCM tuned. I'm guessing $300 on a PCM and harness unless if you score a deal and maybe another $200 having the harness reworked and at least $200 on a tune. Perhaps you can do better but it sounds like the stand alone transmission controller would be a cleaner solution.
