I replaced the PS Pump on my 87 SS since it developed a small drip drip from the outlet fitting on the body. I went back to Autozone and inquired as to the warranty on the pump I had purchased 8 yrs ago, Sure on problem! Took the old pump back and they exchanged it ( they stocked it) no cost at all. I was ready for the 8yrs old, yeh will sell you a new one . It also showed that I had never returned the 1st pump so I took that in too and the gave 21.65 cash back.

Abbey, you must have paid the extra dollars for parts listed in Autozone's limited lifetime warranty. You did exactly what I did for a small block starter over 3 years ago. Since then, I have gone back to return and received 3 new/replacement starters for a variety of reasons. Bottom line: Autozone honors their commitment/pledge!

I never pay for additional warranty on anything!

Abbey, I meant it is included in the product line you select. Autozone has two different categories of parts; can't recall them at the moment.

to be more precise, it is probably a LIFETIME warranty versus a LIMITED LIMETIME warranty. LIMITED will usually only get you one free replacement even 20 yrs down the road, but your YMMV

Nice win Abbey! It's nice to get a little bit back in today's economy.

On a similar note:
While it's only been about a year, Blueprint Engines replaced my fuel line no questions asked. I could've easily just bought another one but I wanted to see if they would replace it first.

Worth making sure that the new part you acquired comes out of the same product line/category as the old pump so the warranty duration remains the same.
