I saw and took pics of an '83 H/O on a trailer about a yr ago....and it had a "Fuel Injected" tag on the rear of the trunk lid, drivers side.... looked authentic..
Did they ever build such a car or was it just slapped on like all the other crap that gets slapped on vehicles these days?

....heres the pictures....

this car was a 30k mile original...from what I could tell. What EFI motor did the Elco's get and when?

I have seen that emblem on many gm vehicles.I have pulled them off monte carlos, seen them on a s10.could be from the factory or the gut could just thought it cool and slaped it on .but i dont think the throttle body motors came out till 85 or 86.

85 and newer 4.3 on G bodys, 86/87 V6 and V8's through the rest of the GM lineup. I dont believe any of the Olds engines got TBI until early 90's on some B bodys

Could it be a possible limited edition model?

Kinda doubt it. In '83, I think the only EFI GM was doing was the Crossfire on SBCs and the DFI on the Cadillac 4.1s.

No. The only engine that was available in the 83 H/O was an Oldsmobile 307 (vin 9). It had a Quadrajet 4bbl carb.

That emblem was taken off a Chevy with a fuel injected 4.3.
