Hey guys. I got an 87 442 that has had some really bad water leaks. Ive stopped the ones that were coming in thru the firewall and rear window but, i still have a leak in the sunroof and drivers door. Im going to replace all the door seals so, that should take care of the door leak. Now the problem is with the sunroof I actually found a sunroof seal and I replaced that but, it still leaks Any ideas guys I really like driving this car and I hate having to park cause im afraid that it might rain. thanks.

is it a factory roof? you might make sure the drain hoses aren't plugged up w/ gunk. otherwise the waters got nowhere to go.

from my '81 body manual:

Four rubber drain hoses, one at each corner of the sun roof housing, are used to drain water that may bypass the weatherstrip seal around the roof opening. The two forward hoses (Fig. 8-68 ) are routed downward through the right and left windshield pillars, and exit through holes in the middle of the front body hinge pillars. The rear drain hoses are routed down into the area between the inner and outer quarter panels forward of the rear wheelhousings, allowing water to drain through the rocker and quarter outer panel drain provisions.

During regular maintenance, check the front drain holes at the corners of the sun roof housing to make certain they are open and free of foreign material. If drain holes or hoses are plugged, they can be cleaned with an air hose or a flexible wire.

To clean rear drain hoses, use air pressure or a flexible wire from the bottom of the tubes. Remove the quarter upper trim panel for access to the lower end of the hose.

dang, it looks like those drains just dump out into the fenders  if you dig into it that far I'd extend those out so they dump out underneath...

It is a factory system and I checked all the drain holes when I had the sunroof out when I changed the seal. Is there a way to adjust the sunroof tracks I dont think that the front of the sunroof is coming up all the way.

I would imagine it has some adjustment built into it. Most GM stuff of this era has plenty of adjustment built into it because they were built to very loose tolerances. You may wish to see if something is broken in the system and not allowing full movement upwards.
