Any one have any trouble with water leaks? I just bought an 87 442 which had standing water in the rear seat pans. After removing the entire interior and sucking out all of the water I went around the car with a hose and sealed all the spots that I found were leaking. The rear window, and the sunroof. Well, All my new parts arrived and I was going to put them in and it started to rain so, I held off. Im glad that I did cause after just one hour of steady rain the rear floor pan was starting to fill. I traced the leak and found that it was comingfrom the passenger side corner of the firewall but, I cant find the source in the engine bay anywhere. Has anyone ran into this before? thanks

the car draws fresh air on the passenger side just in front of the windshield so your leak could be from a bad seal or a blocked drain

Look at the gasket on the climate box on the firewall (it deteriorates) and the grommet where the computer wiring comes through the firewall.

I had this problem on my 84 Grand Prix, it was the heater box. The previous owner had replaced the heater core I assume. They didn't seal the box very well..there was also tape over the seam. Water runs right down the windshield and down that area...coming right into the car

Check it out
