I went to get a new waterpump on my 455 the other day and the guy at the autoparts store told me that the only one he could get had 2 ports on the top. The one that I have on there only has one and I've noticed that other 455s have the other pump. I know I can get the regular pump on summit racing but I was wondering if I should use the other one. Where does the other port go?

4 ports on olds waterpumps, 1 for upper radiator, 1 for lower radiator, 1 for water neck, and one for the heater core

Im not sure myself where the other port goes. I have that same pump on my car with the two ports now and just have it blocked off with a cap. My biggest problem was getting the pulleys to line up. My pulleys are underdrive so they only have two grooves in them. That was a head ache the shaft ends up being shorter needed the shorter shft water pump to make it all work.

As mentioned, one port goes to the water neck bypass and the other port goes to the heater core. If your not running a heater then that one can be blocked off with a small pipe plug.
A lot of guys that don't run thermostats or restrictor plates in place of a thermostat also block off the bypass as well.
