First I have a 68 chevy 350. Does anyone know what kind and size fitting I would need to plug the water pump at the top where my hose used to go to the heater core? I removed my heater core so I have no use for the outlet. Thanks

ok. that seems about right. How would I get that into there because the fitting is threaded and the pump isnt?
The pump is threaded, you have to take the male fitting off of there and plug the water pump. The pump will be threaded that is how the fitting for the heater core hose attaches to it. Remember to use thread sealant so it wont leak when you pull that fitting off.

No problem, you get it figured out?

Yeah. my pump is the original one. i think its the "long style". its all painted the chevy orange so i couldnt tell. Its kinda hard to twist off even with vise grips.Im just going to pick up a new one in the morning. Thanks. I learn something new on here everyday

Good to hear, easy with those vice grips you'll strip everything out. Those things tear up the heads.
