is it simple to install a water temp gauge ? What are the steps ?

Piece of cake. Try to put sender nearest to the thermostat. If you have a Chev V-8 there are plugs by the spark plugs to put sender in. Intake usually has a place also. What vehicle and engine? Price seems awful cheap does it have the sender?. Last one I bought was a digital for my 0540 Lycoming oil temp and it was a hundred bucks

I have the sender in my engine already
I was wondering if I can put it into my old one

I wouldn't use a gauge without a matching sender, there could be calibration differences that might throw off the correct reading, in my opinion.

A coolant temp gauge isn't something I would want to skimp out on. Get what ya pay for.
