Well guys i just got my monte up to NY now and im seeing that my Water temp gauge isnt working can anyone tell me what i can do to fix it or how to rewire or wire one.My reverse lights is also not working can anyone also tell me how or what i can look for or do to fix this issue too thanks for any advise.

for the reverse lite there is two prong plug with a green and a blue wire...(or is it two green, one lite green and one dark green)....on one of the wires it should be hot with the key in run position...when you put it in reverse then both side should be hot...it none are hot then your problem is somewhere before the switch and if you have a hot lead and the other side does not go hot when in reverse it's the switch that the problem and if both are hot and no reverse then it's somewhere between the switch and the lites themselves....check the connector on the drivers side rear corner of the trunk and make sure it's a good connection....

for the temp take the lead from the sending unit and ground the lead, the gauge should go to end of the scale...if it doesn't then the gauge or the wiring is the problem...if it does then the sending unit is defective...

or it could be the florida car is paying you back for bringing it into the cold climate...

If the reverse light switch isn't the problem, than it's the linkage between the shifter and the column.

Assuming your SS is floor-shifted, the cables frequently get sloppy with age, and the reverse lights are still actuated by the movement on the steering column whether it's a floor or column shift. Check for sloppyness in the linkage or grab the bowl of the column and move it by hand and see if the reverse lights will come on.
