Update: Got almost everything at pull-a-part akron ohio this morning for $48. What was missing was the panel under the steering column. the vent controls were there however. I may have forgotten the block off pieces(unless they are connected to the duct work) how hard would it be to block them without the correct parts?

As long as you got the duct's you`re good. The block off pieces on the dash are more for visual, as long as youre ok with having non functioning vents lol. But to be honest, those block off pieces are hard to come by.

Also, the problem with not having the vent control panel under the steering colum. Is now you're going to figgure out a way to muunt the vent controls

If you're going to use your original dash I have a couple of sets of dash block off pieces here.

I have a tan one...and I think I've got a Claret (burgandy) one here as well. I may even have the under column trim piece. They can always be dyed to the color you need.

The black piece goes in the dash bezel and the other in the RH side of the dash of course.

Anyone do this swap and take pictures? Any pictures of all the parts layed out on the ground? I'm about to start this swap and if the A/C and non A/C parts look relatively close with a couple differences, then I think I'm alright. Any pictures of the non A/C box installed? I'm seeing a couple different looking ones...

Take a look at my cardomain pages...
There's quite a few pictures in there of the non a/c set ups in both my 442 and my Cutlass wagon.

Remember that EVERY part is different between the A/C and non-A/C set-ups.
The only things that will interchange are the blower motors (still different) and the cowl seal.

Thanks both of you, for the pictures they were helpful. I bought a non A/C box on here, but it looks a little different, with this vacuum thing up top, and a rod going through the box that is connected to the vacuum valve. Here's a picture to show you what I'm talking about.

Looks like an add-on heater control valve to shut off the coolant flow when it's turned to the COLD setting...

There are NO vacuum actuated parts on the stock non-a/c system, they are all cable controlled.
