What are T-top Cars worth?

I'm in a bit of a quandry. I have an 87 cutlass supreme brougham. 307, 4spd car. Love it to death. With one exception. Can't stand the Brougham interior. I have recently come accross an 87 cutlass that's a buckets and t-top car. It has the same color interior the problem is, it's not in to bad of shape. Sounds funny I know. If the car was wrecked or rusted out, I'd have no problem cannibalizing the interior. Even if it didn't have the T-tops I could do it. But,I could see this being a nice 442 clone for someone. Before you ask, no. After 6 years I am finally able to get my baby back on the road. The last thing I need or want is another project. So, here's my question. What is this car worth? The paint is faded. Looks like surface rust on the trunk lid. It's alittle banged up but, the body is straight. I just don't want to condemn this car to history if someone else could benefit from it whole. Take a look at the pics and tell me what you think. Thanks.

dependent on how the car is mechanically, Id say between 700 an 1500. I cant really judge between the hazy pics you got posted but i love t-top cars, either way im sure the cars worth something. One thing i cant see myself doing is buying a car that doesnt run or move for any more than 4 or 500 bucks. If its in decent shape and runs and drives but needs some TLC, i can see giving more but not an outragious amount. JMO.
 
simple .....Just swap the interiors and steering columns :mrgreen: ....

then sell the car with the bench seat to somebody else....thats what I'd do. For what its worth, the older I get, the more I want a bench seat car.....bucket seat/console cars look better, but when it comes to long distance ride comfort, the bench seats in the Cutlass' are much more comfortable, in my opinion. My big beef is that the bucket seats dont have an arm rest and the center console sits too low to really use it for that......
 
I love t-top cutlass' and they are rare compared to the regular cutlass for many reasons. I would say they are a little more pricey seeing as people like them and there aren't as many out there. the price on this specific car depends on a lot of factors, where im at in arizona i would pay 500-1200, assuming its southwest car.
 
The main thing is to not compair being rare to valuable, i think its one of those options that are love it or hate it, some people will pay more for the t tops, some wont buy it at all because of them. Me, i love them, my wife cant stand them. There are lots of t top cars still left out there but the biggest killer to them will be there flaws such as body strength and rust issues due to them leaking and of course the sun fading your interior. Id buy it, looks like a decent car

I've been saying the same thing. I drove my first car which was an 85 Cutlass Supreme Brougham from Texas to Mississippi(about a 12 hr drive) & I was comfortable. I drove my T-top Cutlass Salon from Mississippi to Tennessee(about a 2 he drive) & couldn't wait to get outta the car. The sun was scorching the top of my head, the wind noise was irritating the hell outta me and my back couldn't take sitting in those bucket seats any longer.
But..., still...., I love my T-top car. 😀

Well said. If you want a 1/4 mile car, t tops are not desirable. This lesson has been learned by the GN crowd. It also costs a small fortune to R&R the seals, trim, etc related to t tops so that is a negative.
