I got access to a garage today. The owner had passed. Here's what I found and need to make an offer on the lot. See pics. Sorry for the lack of continuity in the pics. It was quite cramped and I did not know where to look first!

1977 Olds Indy Pace Car, 403 engine auto 60k 1 repaint, moonroof, very nice shape
1971 Olds 442 NOM 455, Auto, looks like it hit a pole
1979 Hurst Olds 61k auto ; very nice shape
1982 El Camino - V6 auto 63k; very nice shape

At what price can I not get hurt? She already has an offer but won't share.

The photobucket link dont work for me

They all look to be in great shape. In my opinion, even with the damage the 442 would be worth the most, then the El Camino, then the 79,then the pace car.I think the 442 and the El Camino are both worth around 10k and the 79 and the pace car even though they are very nice would sell for around 5k each.

Those are a few nice cars. You can tell the owner took care of them. I like the '77 Pace car even though it's a Delta 88 pretty much.
I don't think there's a whole lot of them out there...I may be wrong.
The '79 H/O looks pretty sweet as well. The '71 442 may be worth the most...I wouldn't know for sure. Perhaps check into different sites like Hemming's, Haggerty, NADA, etc. and try to get a basic ballpark figure of what each car is worth individually.
Good luck!

Woah the problems of a first world nation what to do? j/k. This isn't a bad problem to have. I see an oldsmobile fanatics dream. Everytime I run into older oldsmobiles they seem to have little things such as your situation 'all original pace car - BUT it was repainted before' 'fantastic olds - but it smashed into a pole' these cars all look like fantastic projects to inherit but be frank with yourself when bidding b/c that is what they are - projects and anyone with a brain can see dozens of hours of difficult labor to get them in saleable show-able shape. If there are hidden problems you can't see from above like a cracked frame or something like that it could be more like hundreds of hours or hundreds of dollars more on some of these cars than you would imagine. I would still suspect you can make money if you spend around $40 thousand and that's it but I wont be surprised to see you come back and say the owner laughed and wants more like $100,000 b/c I seem to run into obstacles and people who think that just b/c oldsmobile is cancelled its now priceless which is obviously not the case - its VALUABLE but not PRICELESS people maybe in like another 30-40 years it will be though. Just don't lose sight of the hundreds of hours working late into the night when you place your bid! Those are some sweet oldsmobiles though I would feel proud to own any of them even the smashed up 1 looks do-able although not great that is probably 1 you should just take apart. It looks like the type of car that could cause you to hit snags and lose money on the whole deal if you try to restore it rather than just taking it apart. It's hard to stay a businessman and not play captain save-a-car when you love oldsmobiles though. Thats why I suspect the same thing is going to happen when you make your offer as when I always make an offer on something oldsmobile which is that 8/10 people way overprice their stuff into the future and dont take the condition of it into account or the work its going to take to restore. I've seen way too many $2,500 oldsmobiles in my time that were really $350 oldsmobiles and the person is ready to take it to the grave with them b/c poor understanding of value in terms of condition wise

That's an interesting crop of cars. I find the '77 Olds Indy pace car interesting. Not many of them around for sure. As others have aready pointed out, check out prices on similiar cars from a couple of different sources, then make a reasonable offer. If the owner balks, then walk away. Better to hang onto your money, than to get buried in a deal that's bad for you.

1979 H/O avg price= $10,300
1971 442 avg price = $21,182
1971 442 W30 avg price= $57,253
1982 Elcamino avg price = $8,182 for a v8 model...In strict emissions areas it's not worth a lot with a v 6.
1977 Indy pace car, extremely clean and defect free with low miles sell in the neighborhood of $13,000. With a lot of issues they aren't very desirable, and barely price higher than any other 2 door 88.

All prices depend on condition. You need to be sure the 71 is a real 442 or even W30, it doesn't look right. It has the hood but no cold air induction, and the inner fenders look too orange, should be as red as the interior of the 77.
Too much depends on the condition of the 71 442, on the surface the damage looks light but you may run into other hidden issues during that repair.
The other issue is whether you are a collector or dealer and if the other offer came from a collector or dealer. Two vastly different prices. Ask if the other person tried to make an offer without the Elcamino...

The real gems are the two G bodies. The more I looked at the pics of the 71 the worse it looks.

Looks like they removed the OAI air cleaner on the W-30 because of the aftermarket intake and carb. Which brings up the issue on whether or not the engine in the W-30 is original or not. It's definitely worth less as it sits, considering it's been modded vs. if it was completely stock.
