Lunati Cam Pricing - worth a look

That Black Magic Stage 1 is very tempting at that price. I wonder what the power curve would look like though?
I’m not sure which one youre looking at, but I don’t think any Stage 1 cam from any cam vendor will be too aggressive for a weekend cruiser.

After running the Elgin stage 2 (228/230) in a 4.8 for a couple of years, I feel that every LS needs a ‘stage 2’ of some nature.

If you have a 350+ ci LS (6.0 or larger), then your cam choice should start in the 22_/23_ range for mild. Everyone needs some chop in there life 😊😊

I’ve got a 5.3 I’m kinda married to at the moment, want to keep it NA at first then feed it a bit of boost.

Going back through Richard Holdener’s stuff, the lift on this is a tad high compared to the Elgin E-1250-P grind he’s tested, but the duration specs are very similar. Choosing the SBC cam was way easier than this!
 
The PA Turnpike is owned by a Spanish company - the tolls have damn near doubled since they took it over and there’s people praising how it has saved the taxpayers.
Does it even seem reasonable that a highway system anywhere in the US is owned by a foreign entity? And what goes on in NY is even crazier.
It's still owned by Commonwealth. The criminals that run it extorts money from the DOT under some odd regulation & still has bad finances which caused those god awful tolls. They even got rid of the toll collectors years back to save money in which the union OK'ed. Kennywood Park outside of Pittsburgh is now owned by a Spanish company & they shut down the Turnpike ride there. If it was foreign owned the road surface would be a hell of a lot better than it is now.

That’s a decent spec for duration and lift. A set of Pac 1218 springs and it will work great.
 
The pessimist in me had that same thought.

Blow out the inventory to point where the product line can be discontinued and eventually the company.

Seen it happen before. The positive side is it’s a deal presently.🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
It's exactly what Accel did to Jacob's because they had superior ignition coils.
 
as an aside, don't recall if I've mentioned this before, but currently Advance Auto is shutting down about 700 stores nationwide. apparently they are heavily discounting the inventory instead of transferring it to other stores.

had a customer come in to return an alternator core for the new alternator he bought over there. noticed the "ALL SALES FINAL" yellow register paper. said he got it for 50% off! you may want to find a local AA that is shutting down and see what discount they are selling the performance stuff (Edelbock, Spectre, Accel, etc) for.
 
It looks like Lunati CAMS are done. I've thought this for awhile because they haven't added any inventory for YEARS and on their website now, they are only down to a few remaining cams for Ford & Chevy (and it's all on clearance)! They once had a whole lineup of cams for nearly every American V8 (maybe V6s too).

They do have NEW releases in their crank lineup:

My guess is that the Parent company is doing some brand consolidation. A few months (a year?) ago there were people online whining about buying an Edelbrock cam and receiving it in a Comp box (was the Edelbrock grind); COMP will probably be the only cam brand within the company and the Lunati brand will probably focus on bottom end parts; e.g. cranks, rods etc.
 
To follow up, the cam is in the motor and idling (thank you NE winter). I degree’d
It and it seems like everything else a what I purchased. And it’s lumpy lol.
