well in restoration paint books i've found 650 degree engine paint which was in vareties of colors including oldsmobile gold

I'm guessing that your engine is all clean since you have had it all redone. Hot tanked?

If so, you can use normal automotive paint. As long as you prep it right. But it's gotta be CLEAN.

Yea the motor is clean... It has been 100% redone... But yea I think i will go with the gold..

Gold would look very good. Part of me wants an Olds now, just so I can put a gold Olds motor in lol.

Where can I find some new valve covers for my motor? The only ones I can seem to find are the chrome Edelbrock signature series... I just want some that say Oldsmobile or somthing on em...

There are some factory valve covers that have Oldsmobile on them. They pop up on ebay all the time. I dont think they are that expensive either. There is also some aluminum ones, I am not sure if they are still made or what. I know Mickey Thompson used to make some, but I do not think they do any more. When they come up on ebay, they get pretty expensive.

Maybe someone else can chime in to say what is still made.

Black. It's an 80's car, not a 60's or 70's car (which could also have been blue), so it should be black just like the good General intended.
