everything is low gloss black on my motor, that's how the crate came so i didn't mess with it just painted everything else to match with low gloss paint, couldn't be happier

Same here - I even painted the aluminum serpentine brackets satin black to blend in. I personally like to keep everything looking factory (I actually like the look), and for g-bodies, that usually meant blacked out engine bays:

If I were to go with a colour though - I'd go with blue - I actually really like the Ford blue 😀 I've never been a fan of Chevy orange for some reason.

lol, your monte is VERY modern looking, it almost looks like it was bought new yesterday, except for the red interior. If you could get some black leather and digital gauges, every aspect of that car would look like it was a 2009 model.

LOL The interior colour isn't going to change any time soon - I bought up a new spare set of covers from Mikes since the 85-specific material is running low.

It's a shaker scoop from a 77-81 T/A, modified to fit the Monte breather/hood as well as being functional 🙂

you need some pontiac GTP or GTO seats, some fancy gauges and black carpet and black dash, and that car will be sweet
