Actually the V-6 version will work with slight modification I ran one until I bought a Iceman first gen x-member.....you just have to buy the off set trans mount to use it.........

You mean with a cutout for the duals.....I thought about that, but the G-force x member looks good, and its rigid mounted so it also adds strength to the chassis.

right now i have the stock x-member the wagon came with!factory this wagon had a v-6 metric trans.
i installed a short shaft th-350 with a shift and it bolted right in place!no mods! i did modify the x-member for
dual ex. works fine, notched the xmember and used a piece of c-channel!pretty stout if u asked me.
anyhow i only have the two bolt holes on the drivers side frame.from the 2 holes back its empty?
how does the frame ext. work or bolt up to nothing? :?:

Yeah I got it before I redid the exhaust from the collectors back.....2 1/2 exhaust really brought out the racing cam sound on my car  hadnt decided on the mufflers I want to run so the turbo style sounds good for now.........

also will this setup a bolt in deal, going from a th350 to a th200r4,meaning kepping the stock length driveshaft :?:

The frame extension works on earlier Regals 81-83 I think mine is a 86 and it didnt need it all though mine came with it.......

Because the mount on the 2004r is in a diff location compared to the 350, the trans x member is shaped diff. The extension basically allows the 2004r to be mounted while using the same location holes. The extension is on one side of the x member and mounts to the same bolt location as did the original x member, but moves the x member back. heres a link to an ebay add....
