NO on the door seals...those go around the shell of the door. You need to look for roof rail seals which go up the a-pillar, across the top of the window, then down the b-pillar.

In regards to the shifter, just follow the instructions to mount it using the cable and brackets provided. Correct, no use for the factory shifter bracket....just might need to shim the rear mounting points of the shifter bracket to clear the console lid when in 1st gear.

ok great , i prob need the door seals as well as the roof rail seals ! thanks for pointing that out !

can I bolt the shifter in? I know the rest of the brackets (console and seats have to be welded)

You can probably incorporate the existing factory shifter bracket using the aftermarket shifter.

Being a bench seat car, are you going to add the shifter/ console forward bracket? You might still need to fab a spacer to get the shifter at a proper angle.

I didn't ask you, what type of car is this for?

Yeah, i just used some grade 8 bolts, washers, and grade 8 locknuts to bolt my hurst to the tunnel. I believe i used 5/16" hardware. I'm pretty sure the instructions will clarify which size to use.

Probably not a bad idea to replace both the door and roof rail seals....they get torn and stiff over the decades. Not sure what brand mike sells....but most will agree if you can't find oem (super pricey), metro is the brand to use. I have all new metro seals boxed and waiting for install after paint....the quality is very nice.

Im not sure how that shifter mounts but Mike sells another front console bracket. I cant remember what its called but its for an install NOT using the factory shifter. Thats what I used. I had to tweak it a little but you can see how it looks installed. Be careful cutting out the trim plate. I wound up cutting my plate a little more than I should have but the trim plate for the shifter will still cover it. Just have two screws doing nothing.

I just placed an order with Mikes for some misc. door parts but I ordered the door seals from him last week through Ebay and those are Soffseal brand

I recall the forward console bracket offered for non-floor shift install, as (Mich) Mikester has shown.
This bracket allows console installation sans floor shifter. The stock shifter also acts as a forward mounting point for the console.
