I recall the forward console bracket offered for non-floor shift install, as (Mich) Mikester has shown.
This bracket allows console installation sans floor shifter. The stock shifter also acts as a forward mounting point for the console.

I'll see if I can find the console mount for no-shifter.

* I can't seem to find that part anymore. You can try contacting Rob at Dixie Restoration Depot. I think that was the last place I've seen them offered.

your the man ! much appreciated ! idk why i couldnt find this on the site when i searched for it... all the consoles are essentially the same the way they mount in the G body correct?

Yes, that's correct. The floor, or tunnel brackets are placed the same way in all G-body cars.
