What do these RPO/SPI codes mean?

I've decoded all but 9 of the 3 digit codes from my Regal. I can't find them anywhere.

79D
791
79L
79Q
79T
799
8FU
9FU


Any help is appreciated.

Is your car exterior & interior burgundy? The 79_ could be the color codes. The other might just be assembly line part I.D.

79 is Dark Clarat Interior color.

7XH is the RH front spring
8FU is the LH rear spring
9FU is the RH rear spring
(XH and FU are the spring rate)

The should be a 6_ _ code for the LH front spring, too, like 6XJ

Those springs are mid to low on the std spring charts. FU's are one up the from the bottom (lowest load rate), so they are truly FU's as far as handling is concerned.

Yes, it is. I wonder if one of them is for the color of the half top as well? If the 79_ are for burgundy colors, there are 6 things they could be. Hmmm maybe dash, body, headliner, seats, seatbelts, carpet? But which is which...

The 1982-1990 Buick Illustrated parts catalog says 79D is Dk Clarat Cloth on a G-body.
