What do you call the trim pieces on the doors?

The ones on the outside, about halfway up. Mine a) got painted over and b) are peeling off anyway. I'd like to replace them or just pull them and paint the spot if they're too expensive but I don't know what they're called to search for them.

If its a Monte i took mine off and they are in excellent shape except one is missing from the right rear quarter.
