What do you do for a living?

Looks like I get to change my statius officially to unemployed bum as of 2 FEB. Thank you technology (& PA Act 129-Smart Meters) for making me obsolete. Hope to see some bites from what I have been applying for.

I knew when they came to install the digital meter that someone would be losing their job. Sorry it had to be you.

Enjoy a little time off if you can afford it, Michael Keaton style.

If the times were like then I'd be living like a king. Atleast the wife works & can pick up extra hours. Just gotta get over the pain of going from a union job (BTW thank you IBEW local 459 for taking my money & not bothering to help us out) pay to what ever I'll end up with.

Name your dream job, plus any useful bullets from the resume. Perhaps the Thread with Abide.

Did 6+ years in the Navy, was medically discharged in November. Camped out in the Mojave and Death Valley for a week. Then picked up my buddy in LA and spent another week camping and driving crosscountry to Miami. Just finished getting all my licenses for armed security, so I'll be doing that until I start school in the fall. And that's my current life story. Lol.

Lots of time on the road lately. Trinidad for a couple weeks. Home for 5 days then Jamaica for a week. Home for a day and now I'm in Panama for the week.

Panama City is really nice. Easy place for a gringo to handle. Lots of signs are in English, they drive on the right side, and use American currency. I drove a rental van (Nissan diesel 5spd) full of coworkers to dinner at the canal last night and got around just fine.

Very clean and modern city. There's a lot of money here. Kinda reminds me of Seattle except without the sh*t and needles and perpetual grayness.
Took these from the jobsite in a mall parking lot.

I remember that I said it about El Salvador too but there are some absolute stunners here. Seriously, I've seen a couple 11's. The women really do make an effort to look their best and I, for one, appreciate it. Far cry from an Idaho Walmart.

Currently I work for a heating and cooling manufactuers rep but when I move will probably try to get into the automotive mechanic feild.
