What exhaust tip looks best?

Thanks for the replies. I will go with SS based on what has been said. What ever I get will go back to the first bend so it looks right. I saw one I like but it was a weld on one. Unfortunately I do not have a welder. Is there a way to make this a clamp on one? Cut a slit on the end perhaps? The end under the car would not be seen.

Depending on if the tip is close to original tailpipe size you could possibly use a stainless band clamp to hold it on.

Thanks for all of the advice. I now have this on my list of to do projects. Have just blown most the budget on a new vinyl top and did the door pins. This and weather striping are next. Currently gathering all the parts and plans so that I can fit the changes in when time allows.

I try to keep my exhaust as tucked up as possible so you can't see it so no need for tips.
To me exhaust tips only look good when the exhaust is hidden enough where you can't see where the tip mounts to the tailpipe otherwise they just look added on in my opinion, especially those cheap universal ones with a couple screws that hold them on.

X2
I prefer hidden exhausts/no tips. I've painted exhaust tips flat black on several of my vehicles to try and hide them. Unlike kids, Exhausts should be heard and not seen. 😀

You might try making your own ends from a 4-5-foot section of straight weldable 409 stainless - this stuff is fairly common these days. Make simple 60-degree angle cuts, and band clamp them onto the stubs of your over-axle pipes. You could get a shop to weld tabs on the tops for hanger brackets that can't be seen. Buff with compound to a mirror shine.
