Hello everyone,
After my previous post Im leaning towards a ford 9". Now im unsure on the stock gm rear axle width, and Im also unsure on what 9" is the closest fit. I know I will have to weld on the suspension mounts and stuff. But what I dont want to do is pay to have the rearend shortened, then buy new shorter axles. So if theres any 9" rearends out there that are the right lenght please let me know. Thanks!

Wasn't there a Lincoln Versailles or something that sort of looked like a Granada? I read that it had almost the exact width of the gbody.

Edit Mike I just went and read your other thread the you linked. Another great informative helpful thread. 8)

I believe you are correct. Here's a list I came across some time ago with a bunch of different widths.

On another note the Versailles rear end has rear disc too from what I recall.

That was a good question bro, I was wondering I if there was something like that, were u could find the rear end the size of a g body..
