So haven't updated my build thread but I will do that here in min. Figured you guys would like this. Almost a year ago I responded to an ad on Craigslist the annoying type with no phone contact so I had to email. Couple weeks later I get a response that the parts were still available (c4 corvette front suspension) and a phone number. Didn't have the money at the time so I forgot about it. Well I came up with the money and we t back into my emails found the info and contacted him. He still had 4 fronts. I go there yesterday to pickup the parts and the deceased man that owned the building before they started to sell off had 30 drivable cars and over 50 parts cars. He now only has tri 5 stuff left. He had 4 nomads still has 3 left. Which blew my mind I've never seen one and yesterday I got to lay my hands on 3 in one place. The nomads are projects but I figure you guys would find this kinda cool

This is what I see when I open my garage. Going to paint it this coming spring. It's taken me 3 1/2 years to get it to this point but the gaps are all custom and perfect. I have the biggest build thread at trifive.com and it was made a sticky. Lots of custom fabbed stuff. I love tri 5s and have owned a bunch including only one Nomad.

Nice collection

There was an auction about a year and a half ago out on the east coast that had a whole bunch of tri fie stuff, including several nomads. As I recall, they went cheap (relatively speaking), but they weren't as nice as these appear to be. Big production run for tri-fives, amazing how many are still turning up 60 years later.

I've always loved the Tri 5's, but when I was in HS in So Cal and you could get them all day long for a few hundred bucks, I went and bought a '65 Fastback Mustang...There was a '56 Nomad for sale for $200 on my way to work and it must have sat there for 6 months. I ALMOST had a guy talked into trading his '55, 327, 4 speed Nomad, for my '63 VW Bug. He wanted something with better MPG, so we made the deal and I followed him back to his workplace, but his GF was there and said she wouldn't be caught dead in that POS VW, so I had to drive it back home...
