Piddling around on Rockauto.com today, I looked at the ACDelco A348C air filters for Olds VIN 9/Y application, plus fits a whole lot of others.
$7.12 each, says they're on sale. Plus, there's an ACDelco $5 each rebate link (up to two per household) when you purchase air filters. Throw two in the cart, check out with 7.99 ground shipping, throw in your discount code if they accept it, and the total comes out to where you would be paying essentially $5.755 each after you got your $10 rebate to the door. Additionally, $11.51 is about the price of ONE anyway. They're 9.75 list price at the dealership. GM p/n 88915347
BUT...….The 348CF is on sale as well for $4.38 which would make them free, essentially with a little discount on the shipping when it is all said and done. The "F" is supposed to mean it comes in a filter pack of 6. But Rockauto will sell you 2 of those if you put them in the cart for $9.66. $9.18 after 5% discount. (maybe, not sure if you can use the discount on sale items?). Add the 7.99 shipping, and you're at 17.17 for two, -$10 rebate and you're at $3.59 per filter to your door. Not sure what the deal is on that one. Usually you have to buy a pack of 6 but if true...this is a SWEET deal. My tax is 1.37 here for both filters, so it comes to a total of $18.54. Minus the $10 rebate, it comes to $8.54, or $4.27 each filter lock stock and barrel sitting on your door step.
If rebates and discounts matter to you, and you need new Delco air filters....just a thought.
OH LOOK, below is a picture of a 348CF with a sticker...the sticker says A348CF, with the p/n of.....88915347. Where have we seen that number before? Plus, note the stamping on the filter- A348C. The CF is the same damn filter as the C. But cheaper. Hecho en Mexico, so some people may not want to buy it, but at this cheap...I'm going to order a couple right now.
