Putting doors back together and I don’t recognize this piece. Is it part of the window guide system?

Thats definitely it. I wonder how critical it is? Windshield is already back in. The body shop did an incredible job on the paint and rust repair, but they really screwed up on putting it back together. Buch of stuff missing or put back wrong.

I’m trying to figure out where it goes. Can’t seem to find a spot for it. Does it attach to the cowl under the lower windshield trim?
