I was cleaning up my rearend and the rear section of my frame and found this...What does it mean? Im pretty sure it says FF8.Thanks to anyone that can help.

I've always wondered the same thing.
I believe it's a frame ID tag for the manufacture, all of my Cutlasses IIRC have different ones.
My 84 Calais Hurst/Olds says HC in a white octogon and my 84 Calais has one that is pink and says JH going from memory... (had the tire off the other day).
I've also seen yellow, green and red ones.
Could ID the subframe in the factory as such:
i.e. HC ID for VIN 9 W40 with F41 suspension, 1 1/4" (32mm) front swaybar, rear swaybar, HD springs (airshocks were installed at C&C) while JH was for VIN Y F41 Suspension, 7/8" swaybar, rear swaybar, stock springs/shocks.

Just a theory but now I'm curious myself 😀

Yea i'm not sure.My 81' cutlass brougham didn't have one when I got it and I have never seen one before.I was thinkin it was maybe a RPO code so I looked on here.... http://apps.oldsgmail.com/rpolookup.asp
This was all I could find on page 20...
FE0 SUSPENSION SYSTEM, FRT & RR, ACTIVE
FE1 SUSPENSION SYSTEM, S0FT RIDE
FE2 SUSPENSION SYSTEM, RIDE HANDLING
FE3 SUSPENSION SYSTEM, SPORT
FE5 SUSPENSION SYSTEM, RIDE l HANDLING ---- DELETE
FE7 SUSPENSION SYSTEM, FRT & RR HD, VAR 3
FF4 ARM, TORS BAR SPRING ADJ (C)
FF5 ARM, TORS BAR SPRING ADJ (D)
FF6 ARM, TORS BAR SPRING ADJ (E)
FF7 ARM, TORS BAR SPRING ADJ (F)

This is an ID tag for a replacement frame section. If you notice to the right of your picture, the metal seems to be welded and sanded down. I'm pretty sure the FF8 is an ID stamp for the replacement rear section of the frame.

I have this done on my GP, and I've only found it on other G-bodies with a replaced rear frame.

Nope.

Every G-body I've owned (all 10 of them) have had one of those plastic tags, and none of them had any kind of frame work.

It is an assembly line marking, so the right frame goes under the right body.
A Cutlass could have been followed by a Monte, followed by a Grand Prix, all on the same assembly line.
Contrary to popular belief, G-body frames do have differences, and aren't all the same...
That plastic tag was one of the ways they distinguished them from one another.

my bad,
so, would you happen to know the differences? And does this mean a Monte can't directly transplant onto a regal (or cutlass onto GP, or etc...)?

Those tags, along with other markings would also dictate which suspension package had been fitted to the frame, and what motor it will accept.

The only real difference between frames is some cars have slightly longer front frame horns than others.
The frames will physically interchange, but the front bumpers will not mount in the correct position.

A while back, somebody had found and posted a list of frame interchangeability... but I'm too lazy to look for it...

There's also another thread on here where Mike P is putting a '78-'79 Monte front clip on an El Camino, and he had to lenghten the Elky frame horns by using the ends of the old Monte frame to extend it to the right length.

Thanks for all the info folks...So can anyone decode this for me?! Is it FF8 on the blue sticker? There are more numbers on the sticker i can get if those are needed.
The car did come with a factory rear swaybar, front fender braces under the hood and a brace that looks like a catch for the driveline in case it broke, almost like a driveshaft loop but its just a brace. Also noticed the front swaybar looks alil bigger than normal.(Check my pics)
I just wanna know if I got somthing good or better than stock package.
Thanks again everyone,This site is the S#!t!! 😀

Ill get a closer pic of it tomorrow.Even if it was FF8 or FR8 its still not listed under the RPO codes. :?
