was wondering if anyone knows what motor mounts or where to get interchangable brackets to fit my 400 out 67 gto into 69 gto. thanks

The mounts from the motor that's in the car should bolt right up to the new motor. 67 and 69 blocks use the same motor mounts. If you don't have mounts, just buy 69 GTO mounts.

motor mounts on 69 r 3 bolt pattern and 67 is 2 bolt pattern. is there an adapter to go to a 2 to 3 bolt pattern?

Up through '69 should all be 2 bolt mounts. 70 until about 76 have both the holes for the 2 bolt and 3 bolt mounts, 5 holes in each side of the block. 77 and up only have the 3 bolt holes. There are adapters to fit 3 bolt motors to 2 bolt mounts and the other way around, but 67 and 69 should be the same.

I'm confused. You said that you have a 69 GTO. A 67 motor should bolt right in. Both motors should use the same 2 bolt motor mount. If your motor has a 3 bolt motor mount on it, it's a newer motor and someone has changed something to get it to bolt into your car. You should find the correct 69 frame-side plates and the 2 bolt motor should bolt into your car.

I have what I thought was a 69 400....but it has 3 holes on block so maybe a 70 400...but I'm trying to find adapters to put it in my 1984 grand prix. From engine to frame mounts I'm about 1 1/2 inch short. Any sugestions?

The 3 bolt block is what actually works best for a g body. The 301s in the 78-80 G/P and Lemans used a 3 bolt motor bracket. The replaceable motor mount is actually the frame side. You can buy the motor mounts new from most auto parts stores for less than $10 each. I ordered a pair from Summit Racing for about $6 each. The motor side brackets are a little tougher to find. You need to get them from a 301 g body. These parts will allow you to bolt that motor right into your 84. I attached pics of what the mounts in my '80 Lemans look like.
