Hi I just picked up an 83 hurst/olds with the original 307 in it. I'm trying to get it all buttoned up and am hoping someone can help me out. I'd like to start with a pic of a sensor and a wire on the passenger side of the intake right behind the a/c

That green connector doesn't go to anything, it's for using a dwell meter to help adjust the carb.
Sorry I didn't look at where you were pointing, it does look like a temp sender. It's likely the one for the ECM, not sure if yours has been eliminated or not. There is another sender on the drivers side that looks to be a more modern connector.

Oldsmobile engine, if memory serves me right the sensor in the cooling crossover should be for the temp gauge or warning light.

Hope this helps

It looks like a sender for an aftermarket temp gauge with a brass adapter to fit in the water crossover. . Is it a brass tube surrounded by coiled wire? Unscrew the fitting and look at it. There may be a brass bulb looking sensor down deep in the water passage.
