what transmission do i have 83 cutty 3.8l

i want to know what transmission do i have in my car now. how can i find out. my car is a 83 v6 cutty supreme.

Can't be a TH 200 4R. They were not used until 1984 or 85 in G bodies, and even if they were, the 2 bbl 3.8 Buick V6 never got this transmission from the factory. besides, if it was a Th2004R, you would know it because you would have a shift pattern which includes 4 drive positions and not 3. The factory applications in G bodies were the : Chevy 305 V8 and 4.3 ( 262ci) V6, Olds 307 V8 and Turbocharged Regals with 3.8 V6 and EFI. Earlier cars do not have the extra frame mount for the special crossmember required to run the TH200-4R.
