I’ve owned 6 different cuttys since I was 15 and the one I’ve currently got is a 1981 supreme brougham with a factory sunroof and a baby 267 4.4l v8
Second owner
129 original kms

I’ve done a few small things
Put in a 7inch touch screen and a full subwoofer set up
I added a custom console I whipped up that houses a snes classic that is hardwired to the deck to play games

Aside of that nothing major yet
Still plan to redo the interior black and a dark green trim to match the dash which is absolutely mint without any cracks or anything so I just don’t have the heart to change it
High gloss Black exterior
Custom emblems and things

I’m really torn between building a new motor or just boring the factory one out and keeping it original under the hood

You can paint the dash black to match your new black interior.
As far as your engine either live with the pathetic power level you are at now or buy at least a 350, with the tiny 3.50 bore on your 267 engine it was never designed to make power.

Yeah, but from what I’ve seen online of people just causing damage trying to remove and alter their existing dashes

I’m having a hard time doing the tear out

When it’s not like the dark green is ugly

Just going to need to adjust to planned colour scheme

And that’s what I was thinking

Rebuilding a bad *ss 350
But I’ve got so many people trying to talk me into keeping the original motor

But I don’t have any attachment to it
I’ll probably leave it as is while I build a monster
I’m in no rush as far as the motor
It runs beautifully right now

I actually painted my dash pad while it was installed but had the advantage of the windshield being out at the time.
