I traded for an 85 Cutlass Supreme with a 455 a little over a month ago. The 455 has an edelbrock intake and carb, a little chrome and some gold paint underhood, runs great( after i put the plug wires on right 😛 ). True duals run out the back with chrome tips. Its got a 350 turbo trans with a shift kit that works perfect. The body is in really good shape with the exception of the driver side floor pan that Ill be replacing in the next few weeks. Its got 2 scoops on the hood ( can you say redneck?) one on top of the other. The paint job sucks I call it black orange peel lol! Interior is maroon with bucket seats and a b&m meagshifter. No cracks in the dash. No rips or burns in the seats. Rims were a set of SSTs with firehawk tires but I switch to some American racing outlaw style rims. I'm not looking to get rid of it but I am curious as to the value of it. The guy I got it from said he took second place in modified class at an Olds show at the dragstrip near Columbus, Ohio. Here is a couple pics

god damn that thing does have bad orange peal! you can really see it on that last picture. if it was me i wouldnt pay any more then $3,500 for it.

Probably go up in value if you got rid of that hood lol.

But it is a pretty decent looking car.

LOL the whole car is like that!!!!! It needs a sand and reshoot for sure.

I'd like to find a cowl hood for it or I'll go back to q-jet and a stock hood.

looks like they rolled that paint on lol. i have a edelbrock carb on my cutless and i like it. i would just repaint it and put a new hood on

I like the edelbrock carbs too. The intake is a regular perfomer so I gotta run an adapter and it sets up too high for a factory hood. The body has a couple road rash dings but I think it wont be much to paint it.

By the time you pick up a q-jet and rebuild/tune it would it not just be easier to sell the intake on it now and pick up the correct intake so you don't have to run a spacer?

that hood is not two bolted together they come that way I forget what it is called but my chevy II came with one when I got it its old school pro stock  a nice cowl hood and paint and put the sst's back on it and it would be sweet 😀

Seems like its time for a hood haha. I likes the SSTs but the rears were 15x10 reverse offset and I dont care for the hijacker rear look and fenders bouncing off the tires  It will inherit the weld draglites from my nova. Hope santa gets me new rims for christmas

I have a good q-jet from a 73 chevy truck that came with a 454, I may try it just to see how it does.
