What's that next project you have been planning?

This was actually my first project before I got my Monte Carlo.

Picked this up around 2015. It’s a 1990 C1500. Has a 350 and someone took out the 700R4 and out a Turbo 350 trans in. SCREAMS down the freeway at 3700 RPM so it’s more of a street cruiser than a long haul truck. Plans and life changed about 2017 and I sent it to my moms house where it’s still at today. Plans have changed yet again and now I’m looking to get it back to my place and clean it up again. Looking to swap the trans so it’s a little more road friendly and drop it 4/6. Otherwise the 350 runs like a top and is solid. Some bolt ons down the line will open it up some and really make it fun.

This year was all about getting my Cougar back on the road. Next year is all about getting my 88 T-Bird going. It hasn't been driven more than a few weeks every other year in the last two decades.

I have everything to give it an end to end freshening up. I'm talking, all fresh fluids, serpentine belt, all hoses, distributor cap, rotor and wires, axle seals, wheel cylinders, brake hoses, all filters and any other general wear item you can think of.

The battery is over 25 years old, the tires are from 1992 and the exhaust system is original and will be completely replaced with a true dual system. The AC system will get upgraded under hood with all new hoses, dryer, and a 134a specific condenser from Vintage Air. Luckily the body and interior are mint, so they won't need anything. Although, I do have two Turbo Coupe hoods with the scoops in them that I could prep and paint the better one and swap.

Dreaming more than anything, but I need to stop borrowing trailers and have been on the lookout for a 50's chevy 1.5 ton ramp truck. Would love to do one of these, rat rod style. Duramax, smoke stacks, and scary looking.

1970 VW Bus Westfalia Camper.

Was working on it before I had my heart attack... now my wife flips out if I do much more than sit in a fu**ing chair all night. Heard it for two days pulling the rear brakes and trying to do the axle seals before finding the broken cross pin bolt.. :/

I have a feeling that poor bus is never going to get done..

Still looking for a motor to replace the one in my 81 monte carlo, get the 77 cutlass road ready for my daughter to drive around her graduation and just some odds n ends on the caprice till I decided to strip it down for paint. But now that I'm home there's so many hidden rides to save lol so when I got extra $$$ it might just go to whatever I can bring back, a few mid to late 60s chevys(impalas chevelles trucks) and of course G bodys

Earlier 8.1s were somewhat prone to CPS issues from what I've read up on. A little more PITA than other engines being that the sensor is supposedly a good foot long and thus tough to remove in truck.

Mileage isn't bad, but, flip side is rental customers don't go easy on equipment.

I want to wait a couple years, buy one of these, and then create a combo car hauler/sleeper out of it once school districts retire/auction them. Sounds interesting.

Honestly, I also have my eye on a higher mileage one that has had its transmission replaced. The physical condition doesn't bother me too much, but things like that Allison transmission could get expensive real fast. At least you can look up all their maintenance records for each vehicle on their website.

That 8.8L engine sounds cool as hell, but it will probably be a thirsty one.
The holy grail is a 1998-99 7.4 in a 5500 or bus. Factory forged internals and a Mark 6 block. MPFI, runs a 0411 512k ecu like any early LS and should be connected to an Allison 5 spd. Cam and heads alone unlock about 200hp and 300ft/lbs. 8psi on a twin setup is 900hp or like 800ft/lbs depending on cam.
