What's good peeps. I got a idear that I'd appreciate some thoughts on. I have a set of hooker super comps for a 78-87 g-body. They are for sbc blocks. My question is if these headers could be bolted to any sbc. I figure that the g-body clearence is probably smaller than for example box chevies, el caminos, etc., so if anything the g-doy headers would give me added clearence of used in a larger engine compartment. So, are the car specs really necessary when the engine compartments of other possible apps. are bigger? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

short answer, the car specs are the car specs. it's not just frame width, theres steering shaft location, floor pan clearence, etc. sometimes you might get lucky, but don't count on it.

The super comps should be the big tube headers, right. In that case they have tubes that go outside and around the frame rail. The el camino would be fine, but there's definetly more to it than a bigger engine bay giving you more room. Now if they are hooker comps, then you would have a lil more options.
