Over the years I've gotten away from having a winter car do to the fact that my daily driver has dubbed as my plow truck for the last few decades. I do however have some great memories of winter cars that actually had great potential but at the time were just well junk that ran (sometimes). So I thought let's see those winter beater's!

Winter of 2015 was my first winter with a license AND a car. This was my beater with no heater:

Well, once I demoted the Cutlass to nice weather only status my daily drivers have been the winter beaters!
Honestly, the best of the bunch was my old 2003 Neon! It didn't have a ton of power, but for some reason it was a trooper in the snow!!!! I rarely got stuck, and it did WAY better than my current '07 Mazda 6S 3.0L. Unfortnately the Neon wore out and it would've cost more to fix than it's value, so I scrapped it for $425!!!!

Those scrape marks are still there almost 2 years later.

That's my little sister. She thought it was just hilarious. My friend took the picture.

This is my '88 GMC K1500. Some of you may remember seeing it in a thread on here. I've had a lot of problems out of this truck but that's to be expected with 250k+ miles on it. Since I've had the truck I've replaced the gas tank, rear end, rebuilt the transmission, replaced the rear drive shaft, upper control arms, ball joints, U bolts on the rear end, radiator support, radiator, steering column, turn signal switch, temp control, installed aftermarket gauges and recently replaced all of the freeze plugs in the engine and most of the gaskets. I'm hoping I've finally got the truck in good enough shape to drive for a while. It could still use a lot of work but most of the mechanical stuff should be in good working order.

The last big snow around here was around a foot deep. I had worn out tires on the truck but I still wanted to go places so I put chains on all 4 tires. I never got stuck. I even got into a ditch that was about waist deep and I managed to claw my way back out. It's definitely a beater but I love my old truck.

Hell yeah man. $300 bucks bought me a classic luxury muscle car in 2015! 11:1 360hp/480ftlb 429, rare D0VE-C heads, 600 holley, MSD ignition, points conversion, Foot. Shaped. Gas Pedal. That thing was awesome. Liked driving it around at night too. It legitly looks like a car a villain in a show on the CW or Supernatural would drive.

I knew this thread would get me to smile. I'm just sitting here thinking I don't have pictures of my old winter beater's then I remembered I bought Lauren's car for a winter beater in 1993 or 1994 I payed $500 for it so I could take my 1983 Cutlass off the road and swap on a better SBC for spring lol the 83 has long sense been crushed but that rusty h/o is still with us
