I am a beginner so I will have a lot of questions... I am also trying to use the search function. The thing that sucks about it is, when I check "exact terms", it finds exact terms but not together, Ex: "which transmission" but hey nothing wrong with a little extra reading.

I have an 84 Cutlass Supreme. So I need some chrome cutlass rallys. How do I go about finding them. Brand new or what is my other alternative? How much do they usually cost?

I was reading another guys thread and they were talking about tires, white letter tires. So I have confirmed that I'll get BFG Radial T/A tires. One guy was talking upon his 15 inch rallys, what are some opinions on the size of rallys? Also tire sizes, how is 215/70 for 14s? I dunno about the 15s

i have a 86 Salon with the cutlass rally's...they are 14" and i have BFG T/A's 205/70/14"s

if ya wanna keep it stock looking ide go for some 15 inch ralleys. look on craigslist.org or yer local swap meets.

There were two chrome Rally III wheels offered in the 80's.

1. 14x6 Chrome with black painted inserts, people misrepresent these as 15" so watch out... They came stock on Calais and Salons and sometimes Supremes and Broughams but most unlikely... You can get a decent set for $200 usually

2. 15x7 Chrome with gold painted inserts with a gold pinstripe (85-87 442) and silver inserts with a red pinstripe (83-84 Hurst Olds). These are harder to find and are more desired and expensive, a decent set without pits and rust will run you around $400.

Aftermarkets are around and can be expensive, shop around (google it) Also the chrome is poor on aftermarkets and sometimes chips or rusts. This is probably your best bet for 15" rims since nice stock rims are few and far between...

The 14 inch aren't factory? What is "SSII"? What about "JJ coded"? Can I make some used ones look good? How would I do that?

SSII's were offered from 1968 to 1977 I believe, they look just like SSIII's but have bolt on center caps instead of snap on's like the SSIII's.

The JJ is just a rim code, means nothing...

Good information, can you point me to some aftermarket 15" online for sale? Also, I read some guys were finding sales for BFG tires for $40 and $50 a piece at tirerack. How can I find deals like that?

Stock size on 15s were 215/65/15 but many people replace them with 235/60/15 as they are a little wider and the same height. Aside from BFGs you might also check out Firestone Firehawk Indys. Both white letter. Having had both I prefer the stones as they are a better tire. imo
PS if you find some used 16s the Trans Ams had some like the GNX wheels but I believe only the back as far as back spaceing then you can use 245/50/16s and or 255/50/16s.
