Ok so trying to wrap this up before I put the carpet in. Where are you guys runny all your stereo cables? Should u run them under carpet or what?

how your cables are routed depends on what type of install you are doing. if you are running an amplifier you will want to keep your rca and speaker wires away from the power cable.
in my 81 wagon I ran the power wire along trans tunnel on passenger side, rca cable up the driver side of the trans tunnel. all speaker wires running up factory plastic wire tunnels under door sills.

Under the carpet along the door sills there are plastic channels for taillight wiring. I used those and never had a any troubles with the RCA cables picking up noise.
II'm putting my amp on the shelf in the trunk. Was trying to figure out where to place all the wires before I put new carpet in. I have to run 3 sets of rca's then speaker wire up front. Figured the speaker wire could go back in the black channels but the rest was a concern
I ran a single set of 4ch rca cable up the one side. You can do all 3 rca's on the one side just bundle the together. My 83 wagon i will be 2 rca wires bundled
I ran mine next to the black plastic loom along the drivers side floor. I didnt want to put them in the loom mainly because I think someone glued it shut and the RCAs fit perfect along side it.
I haven't had any problems, but just to be safe, give yourself lots of space between the power and RCA cables you will run. Just to avoid any possible interference.
I took my seat out pulled up the carpet to access the middle of the car. I ran the power wire on the passenger side right next to the trans tunnel. The rca cable i ran up the driver side of trans tunnel. The speaker wire to the 2 front speakers got ran inside the black loom on each side of the carmebe007 said:
