I have an '85 Regal Limited with 3.8L V6, TH350 trans, and air conditioning. I want to swap to a 350 Buick for a little more power and will need to keep the AC. What production years should I look for in getting a 350? Is there a source I can refer to to verify casting numbers and production dates on the blocks, and where on the block can I find those numbers? Been a Bowtie guy all my life but I'm ready to delve deeper into Tri-Shields. This is going to be a daily driver so I'm not looking for a whole lot of performance...but this 3.8 has got to go!!

I've read the threads by tobyp and Blake442 (outstanding work guys!) and will use those as a guide. I am lost when it comes to determining which Buick 350 to use. Were they available in the mid-80s LeSabres?

Sticking with Buick motor to keep this as simple as possible.

Thanks in advance.

thank you so much for starting this thread.
