you can also use the sepentine setup of the s10 pick ups an blazers with the 4 liter V6. i am using the entire setup off the s10 on my big block with some adapter brackets off ebay. but for a simple small block the S10 setup is a snap

yup i checked today. but i think you need to change your water pump aswell. as it has to spin the other way. ... we think....

Yes, you need a reverse rotation waterpump with a serpentine setup.

I am running an 89 Blazer V-6 set up on my 350 in my 82 Cutlass. I was able to use the 82 factory A/C compresser line with a little tweeking of the lines. My set up does not have the smog pump as stated in another post. It is tight ti the hood but I do not see any hit marks on the hood insulation so far.

yes when you change to a serpentine setup you do have to replace the water pump with one that is for a serpentine equipped sbc or bbc motor. thats not to expensive or hard to find

I have a question. If I decide to go with an engine driven fan with the serpentine setup, is the pitch of the fan blades in the reverse direction of the fan blades for a V belt setup? I was thinking of going with an electric fan, but now I'm leaning towards an engine driven fan, so I'm trying to find the right one for this swap.

To bring this back up. Does anyone run a newer s10 serpentine set up with the newer style AC compressor? Any benefit to the newer compressor from a AC performance stand point? Any trouble clearing a stock elky box?
