Hey guys, my 455/400 swap into the 79 Cutlass is inching closer. Had the 400 rebuilt and converted into a short shaft. Running a good 455 from a 74 Toronado (RV), stock. Here is the torque converter I bought, when I was collecting parts. I don't know if I was too hasty (actually, I was) in buying it without thinking about it:

What are people's opinions of Jegs converters in general, and going with 12" and the 2000-2300 stall going to be OK? It's going to be a cruiser, not a race car, but I'd like it to have some jump off the line (without screeching the tires every time I startup from a red light).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Tom

I figured it would work, just wondering if it was enough stall to go light to light without being too crazy. 2.41 posi rear behind 455 with TH 400...on 14" wheels/tires
